The PC connection is strictly optional. You can use your PC and the MessageStudio software (included with the OHP 6000) to update the content stored in flash memory on your player — or you can just plug the unit in and walk away. It comes preloaded with a 55-minute variety of licensed music and "thanks for holding" messages.

On-Hold Plus 6000 is ready to go right out of the box — does not need to be connected to your computer!

Easily create or change your on-hold programs — Digital system supports MP3 and WMA (Microsoft Windows® Media) audio formats.

With the included MessageStudio™ software —you can quickly and easily create messages mixed with music (in just a few mouse-clicks!) on any Windows-compatible desktop PC. The software lets you record unique messages and select background music from a variety of 20 royalty-free music tracks. New audio content is saved as an MP3 file and then transferred to the player's on-board memory via a USB connection (a USB cable comes with the player) or a Smart Media Card

Auto start after power loss. — OHP 6000 retains stored preferences such as music selection, repeat mode, and volume settings, if power to the unit is lost. It immediately returns to continuous playback with all settings, without human intervention.

LCD control panel. — A 6-line backlit LCD displays ID-3 tags with descriptive names of tracks for easy identification and selection. The display also shows information to help you choose playback preferences, and tells you at a glance the player's operational status.

Flash memory. — 16 MB of on-board memory stores 55 minutes of audio content.

External memory slot for Smart Media Cards. — You can load even more content into the player (up to a maximum of 128 MB, for over 8 hours of continuous playback) via Smart Media Cards (purchased separately), instead of using a USB connection to your PC.
