Product Re-Certification

Phones and Peripherals

Initially, each phone or peripheral is visually examined. If any cosmetic flaws or defects are visible, the product is returned promptly to the supplier or placed aside for repair.

Products without flaws are to be powered up and tested for proper operation. All keys, speakers, and handsets are inspected thoroughly. Tests include, but are not limited to: tone, ring, button operation, and speaker/handset volume. The item remains powered for a minimum of one hour to simulate realistic working conditions. Any defective product will either be returned to its sender or placed aside for repair.

After visual and mechanical inspection, the product will be prepared for refurbishing. Any dust, dirt, etc., will be cleared with a pneumatic compressor. The product's casings, buttons, and handset are carefully polished. All grates, grooves, and seams are cleaned and polished, and the product is restored to resemble new merchandise.

After refurbishing, each item will be mechanically tested again, through the steps previously mentioned, to ensure it was not damaged in the cleaning process. Failures will be placed aside for repair.

Finally, warranties are placed on each product. For the purposes of accountability, each employee has been assigned a specific color-coded warranty. After certification, each product will be boxed, labeled, and received into inventory.

Circuit Packs

Initially, each circuit pack will be inspected for defects. Any card with visual flaws should be sent back to the supplier immediately or placed aside for repair.

Each product must be mechanically tested. The circuit pack will be placed into its proper working environment, and it will be tested thoroughly for its specific purpose. The card remains powered for a minimum of one hour to simulate realistic working conditions. Any defective item will be sent back to its supplier or placed aside for repair.

After testing, each pack will be cleared lightly of any dust with the pneumatic compressor. Extreme care is taken not to damage the card with air pressure.

Following cleaning, each product is mechanically tested again to ensure it was not damaged in the cleaning process. Once again, any failures are placed aside for repair.

After completion of the previous steps, each item is properly labeled with the testing employee's corresponding colored-coded warranty. Then, each circuit pack is sealed into a static bag. Finally, the card is placed into its specific cushioned box, and is brought into inventory.
